Course Description

This executive short course is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the intersection between global health and security. Participants will acquire knowledge and gain skills necessary to assess, respond to, and mitigate health threats that have potential to destabilize international health systems and security. Through engaging case studies, practical exercises, and interdisciplinary pose risks to international stability. By analysis of real-world cases and practical exercises, participants will develop strategic approaches and policy recommendations to enhance health security and resilience at local, national and global levels.

The course offers tailored training for two key groups:

  • 01. Primary Healthcare Providers (Nurses, Public Health Officers, Community workers): A 3-day program focusing on the fundamentals of global health and security, including outbreak response, biosecurity, and cross-border health crisis management.
  • 02. High-Level Managers: A 5-day intensive program covering advanced topics such as:
    • ◦ Human-Centered Design in Health: Applying design principles to ensure health solutions are accessible and effectively meet community needs. Participants will earn Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points, enhancing their professional growth and career advancement.
    • ◦ Health Systems Strengthening (HSS): Building resilient health systems through strategies for resource mobilization, workforce development, and emergency preparedness.

This dual-approach curriculum equips both fronline workers and decision-makers with paractical skills and strategic frameworks, and professional recognition to address global health challenges effectively.
